Louisa, Ky. — Lawrence Co. improved to 4-0 with a three inning mercy rule victory over Betsy Layne 16-1 to open up 58th District girl’s softball action on Tuesday night
Ciana Bowen struck out seven and helped her own cause with two hits and three RBIs.
Sophomore third baseman Ashley Hayes also had two hits and three RBIs. Sophomore second baseman Kassidy Cavins had one hit and one RBI.
The Lady Bulldogs will be off until Monday when they play a doubleheader at the Cal Ripken experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
