The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is advising motorists of daytime closure along KY 40 in Martin County. The work site is located at mile point 2.0 (3.2 miles West of Ky 1224) near Stafford Fork.
This project will replace the existing pipe with a new aluminum cross drain. Crews will remove the current structure on Saturday, April 22, starting at 8 A.M., and work installing the new cross drain throughout the day.
The road will be closed at this location until work is complete. Motorists will be able to access the work zone on either side but will not be able to cross. Motorists, including emergency vehicles, will need to use an alternate route during this time.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews personnel will be performing the work. Work schedules are based on weather conditions.
