2016 Primary
“We have started In House Absentee Voting for the May 17th 2016 Primary Election,” Lawrence County Clerk Chris Jobe sid Saturday.
Jobe said voters must be out of town from 6am to 6pm on Election day to be eligible to vote on the In House Absentee Voting machine.
“The sample ballot is located on the http://apps.sos.ky.gov/electionballots/ website,” Jobe said.
Jobe said he does not know if any local party members will attend the state conventions and help decide who will get the electoral votes in the Presidential election. Republican Chairman Todd Dunn told The Lazer that he does not know of anyone planning to attend and Democrat Chair Lafe Hinkle did not respond to calls for comment.
Lawrence County Republicans voted two to one in favor of GOP Presidential frontrunner Donald Trump in the caucus held earlier this month.
PURSUANT TO KRS 424.290, “MATTERS REQUIRED TO BE PUBLISHED,” THE FOLLOWING RACES WILL APPEAR ON THE VOTING MACHINES AND PAPER BALLOTS IN THE PRECINCTS LISTED IN LAWRENCE COUNTY FOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION, MAY 17, 2016.
