Fort Gay, W.Va. — The Fort Gay Middle school football team improved to 7-0 on the season with a 44-0 victory over Wayne on 8th grade night last Thursday.

In the first quarter CJ Waller intercepted a Pioneer pass and returned it inside the five yard line and Viking QB Caleb Thompson scored on a 3 yard keeper to make it 6-0 Fort Gay with 1:01 left in the first quarter.
In the second quarter Braden Weaver intercepted a pass that turned into a Robert Evans 15 yard TD and the 2 point was also good by Evans to make it 14-0 with :50 seconds left in the first half.
After Evans recovered his own onside kick he hit Zach Waller for 23 yard touchdown on the last play of the first half to make it 20-0 Vikings.
In the 3rd period Thompson went in from 4 yard out and Evans added the Evans 2 point conversion to make it 28-0 with 6:59 left in the third quarter.
Just a couple minutes later Evans took it in from 14 yards and added the 2 point conversion as well and it was 36-0 with 4:36 left in the third quarter.
CJ Waller picked up a fumble recovery and returned it for a touchdown and Evans added the 2 point conversion to set the final score of 44-0.

The Vikings will return to action on Thursday with a trip to Ceredo-Kenova at 6:00.
