Our fifteenth spotlight in the FACES OF HOPE: WE DO RECOVER series will focus on Addiction Recovery Care CEO and Founder, Tim Robinson’s story, A Decade of Transformation: The Story of God Radically Changing a Fall Down Drunk Attorney and Giving Him a New Life.
On December 11, 2016 I celebrated 10 years sober and making a decision to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
I look back at this decade of my life and I am blown away by God’s grace.
He’s blessed me with a beautiful loving wife, two wonderful sons, a huge family and more friends than I can count. We have a home where are loved ones gather and His presence dwells.
Not only am I sober, but I get to wake up everyday and help others trapped in addiction walk the same path I am on following God to live life without an addictive substance as my master.
I get to work with some of my very best friends from elementary school to my college buddies and new ones I have made. I have made new best friends who are some of those who came through this ministry. I get to work with my family and provide a place for their ministry gifts to flourish.
Then there is the ARC family. I am so blessed to lead a company and ministry of brothers and sisters who are committed to ministering to the addicted no matter the sacrifice or burden. They are those that God has called to pioneer new things in addiction treatment. They have been through the roller coaster that new paths being cut bring and remained faithful. Because of their passion for transformation I have the privilege to participate in lives being changed across 12 treatment centers with over 100 new people that are admitted every month.
This journey has been incredible. My whole life has been changed since that day 10 years ago Pastor Rick May held my hands in the county attorney’s office and a fall down drunk lawyer became a child of God. Deciding to give God my life and to surrender it completely to His purposes was the best decision I have ever made.
Celebrate with me on this special anniversary by telling the same God…take my whole life for your purposes. That’s my prayer for you and for my next 10 years!!!
