Hey, Finally, Here are the Latest Scores from the Eagle Ridge Golf League

Here is the news from Tuesday night’s League play, FINALLY. After having missed the prior Tuesday’s golf play caused by our first rainout of the season, and not receiving three weeks of scores, I can now give you Tuesday’s scores.

The course was in great shape, despite the hard rains we had endured through Monday. Only a few wet spots existed, which were of course avoided. The greens had speed, and the entire golf course, except for the sand traps, was in great shape. The hazards had confined some excess water. The scores from the three previous weeks will not be reported.

The standings are now calculated, although I do not have them. The winner of the first half will be decided in two weeks. I will be reporting on the standings and those who are in the running for winning the first half of the year.

Tuesday was a beautiful evening for golf, and I had the privilege of playing with Ronnie Wellman and Judge John Chaffin. If you notice in the League results, Ronnie Wellman shot the low gross score, and the Judge had the low net score. Needless to say, I lost to both my playing partners. Everyone wants to win, but it doesn’t hurt as much when your playing partners shoot league-leading scores, and you play your best game. Regardless of the outcome, we had a great time together.
