INEZ FIRE & RESCUE DEPARTMENT HELP SAVE FAMILY DOG

Firefighters are used to recusing cats from trees, according to the old cliche; but what about rescuing dogs from cliffs?

The Inez Fire and Rescue Department found themselves responding to an unusual call on Thursday evening, December 12.

According to a report by the fire department on their social media account, a family dog had gotten loose and found itself in a hairy situation. The dog was stuck on the edge of a high wall on New Route 3 for some period of time  before it was found.

Firefighters from the Ladder 21 unit of the Inez F.D. responded to the scene and safely rescued the dog and was returned to the grateful family.

Inez Fire and Rescue Department were assisted on the scene by the Martin County Sheriff’s Department.
