Cliston Pete Jude 67 of Ulysses, KY passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at his home as a result of a lawn mower accident.

He was born on September 23, 1950 in Pilgrim, KY; he was a son of the late James Thomas and Mahala Maynard Jude. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Aiden Maverick Preston, sister, Julia Jude Bailey, and brothers, Harvey and Billy Jude.

Pete was a heavy equipment operator and attended the Meade’s Branch Freewill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his spouse, Sadie Cook Jude of Ulysses, KY, sons, Tracy (Angel) Jude of Belfry, KY, Jason Jude of Lovely, KY, James Ronald (Betty) Triplett of Mississippi, daughters, Jolene Jude (Robbie) Wolford of Camden, S.C., and Brittany Louise Jude (Eric who was like a son) Preston of Ulysses, KY as well as 10 grandchildren. Pete also leaves behind his siblings; Clifford (Rachel) Jude of Breathitt Co., KY, Robert “Buck” and the late Mildred Jude of Lovely, KY, Vonda Jude of Lovely, KY, Ed (Ruby) Jude of Belfry, KY, Hessie Jude (Natti) Avitta of Ft. Myers, Florida, Bonnie Jean (Willie) Mullins of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Mindy (Trenton) Evans of Belfry, KY, and Mary (Joe) Jude of Pilgrim, KY. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Meade’s Branch Freewill Baptist Church with Elder Richard Staton officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery of Ulysses, KY.

Visitation will be after 5pm on Sunday and until time of services on Tuesday at the church.
