A Grayson County woman was arrested late Wednesday night by Kentucky State Police and charged with sex offenses involving a minor.
Eva McHenry, 40, of Millwood, was arrested on charges of sexual abuse and child exploitation.
KSP Post 4 was notified early Wednesday by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office that images of child exploitation had been discovered on an electrical device and requested state police handle the investigation, according to a KSP news release.
The release said a preliminary investigation found evidence a minor was sodomized and the incident was recorded on an electronic device.
Later that night, McHenry was arrested and charged with first-degree sodomy incapable of consent and promoting a minor younger than 16 in a sexual performance, both Class A felonies punishable by 20 to 50 years in prison, or life, if convicted. She also was charged with distribution of matter portraying sexual performance of a minor, a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison, if convicted.
According to the news release, equipment thought to have been used was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory in Frankfort for examination. McHenry is lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
KSP was assisted by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office. The ongoing investigation is led by KSP Post 4 Detective Bryan Washer.
