TheLevisaLazer.com management has added a new wrinkle to our coverage with the hiring of Rebecca Webb (Maynard). Rebecca will cover all sorts of events and meetings for The Lazer as she begins her career as a writer. From civic meetings on both sides of the river to news and special events, she’ll have a free rein, publisher Mark Grayson said.
She is the mother to four, amazing children. She grew up in Fort Gay, WV, and graduated from Tolsia High School in 1997. She furthered her education by receiving a bachelor’s degree from Morehead University and a master’s degree from Marshall University, both in Elementary Education.
She began her teaching career at Blaine Elementary School in Lawrence County, KY. Two years later, she switched schools and began teaching in Fort Gay, WV at FGPK-8, where she taught for 9 years. Some of her favorite subjects to teach were ELA and writing.
Rebecca recently made a life-changing decision to resign from teaching and pursue her passion as a writer. She has always enjoyed writing as a hobby but decided to make it a full-time career.
Best of luck in your new career!!
