Cecil H. McDaniels was welcomed in to his eternal home on September 21, 2018 following a long, hard fought battle with cancer.
Cecil was born May 28, 1948 to the late Lee and Lillie Kilburn McDaniels, in Greenup, Kentucky. Cecil and his wife, Rosemary Howell spent their time between Grove City, Washington Court House and at their piece of paradise near Louisa, KY.
He will be incredibly missed by his wife, Rosemary Howell, his three sons, Kerry (Linda) McDaniels, Brent (Janis) McDaniels and Erik (Marla) McDaniels. Step-Sons Scott Reed, Dylan Reed and Step Daughter Adriana Jurich. His beloved grandchildren Jacob, Brittany, David, Rachel, Ashley, Krystal, Brian, Mitchell, Kristie, Emily, Sarah, Joshua, Hannah, Victoria, and Nevaeh. His siblings Helen Oney, Goldie (Buck) Strickland, Ray McDaniels, Leroy McDaniels, Marvin (Kathy) McDaniels, Melvin (Lisa) McDaniels, Pam Gonzales, Mark (Cheri) McDaniels, Matt (Tina) McDaniels. Several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many dear friends.
Preceded in death by two brothers, James McDaniels and Thomas McDaniels; two sisters, Ethel Bryant and Opal Adkins. Grandson LCpl Joshua McDaniels and granddaughter Jennifer Norris.
Retired from Laborers Local 423, Cecil enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on his cabin in Kentucky, and spending time with his family. If there was a Bluegrass festival close or not so close by, chances are you would see Cecil there. Cecil will be remembered for his fierce love of his family, his kind heart and hardworking nature.
Family and friends will celebrate Cecil’s life in Louisa, Kentucky on Tuesday, Sept. 25th, 2018. There will be visitation and sharing of memories from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home followed by a celebration of life service starting at 1:00 pm with Rev. Tommy Adams officiating. Cecil will be laid to rest in the Howell Family Cemetery at Glenwood, KY.
