Louisa, Ky — Lawrence Co. baseball star Jackson Feltner, who will be a senior this fall at LCHS has decided he will play college baseball just one hour and fifteen minutes down the road after verbally committing to Morehead St. University over the weekend.
Feltner led the state in home runs this past season with 14 and helped lead the Dawgs to a school record 35 victories and a 15th Region crown.
Morehead St. plays in the Ohio Valley Conference and went 40-21 overall and 19-11 in OVC play and lost in the conference championship game to Jacksonville St. one game short of the NCAA Tournament this season.
The Eagles will be under the direction of first year Head Coach Mik Aoki this upcoming season.
Feltner has visited East Tennessee St and Murray St. among others.
Feltner is playing this summer with Ashland Post 76 and has had a great summer so far.
