Job Fair Update
Nearly 50 employers have signed up for the Tri-State Career and Job Fair on Friday, April 22, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the KYOVA Tri-State Mall. A Fair for veterans will be held from 10 to 11 a.m.

ACTC Open House is April 26
Ashland Community and Technical College will hold a “Go2ACTC” Open House Tuesday, April 26, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Technology Drive Campus.
The Go2ACTC event will include information about programs, financial aid, online classes and transfer options. Advising, admission and financial aid representatives will be available to talk about career options, the application process and paying for college.
Visitors can talk with faculty and students to learn more about classes and the college experience at ACTC. Potential students can also apply for admission, complete the financial aid application form or schedule an orientation.
The Open House will include campus tours, refreshments and giveaways. There will be a live remote with 93.7 The Dawg, and the first 100 student prospects will receive a free movie ticket to the KYOVA 10 Theatre.
High school students and their parents, recent high school graduates and adults considering college for advancement are invited to come and learn about dozens of programs to help them prepare for high skill careers or for university transfer as a junior.
Registration for summer and fall is ongoing, and the Open House will help prospective students learn how to get enrolled. ACTC offers Summer I, Summer II and Full Summer sessions as well as full semester and bi-term (half-semester) classes in fall. Class schedules and admission forms are online at: ashland.kctcs.edu.
Motorcycle Riding Course May 20-22
A Basic Rider 1 Course for new riders or riders getting back on the road will be held May 20 to 22. Those who pass the course can get a waiver for the motorcycle license skills tests in Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia.
The ACTC weekend course meets Friday from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Roberts Drive Campus and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. the former Boyd County High School located at 12307 Midland Trail Road
Motorcycles and helmets will be provided, but participants may bring their own DOT-approved helmet. The fee is $110 for KY residents and $200 for OH or WV residents. To register or for more information, call ACTC Workforce Solutions, 606-326-2130 or email: as_workforce@kctcs.edu.
