SEPARATELY, SIX LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN NEIGHBORING COUNTIES (1 IN CARTER COUNTY, AND 2 IN JOHNSON COUNTY). ALSO A FOURTH LAWRENCE COUNTY MAN WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN PIKE COUNTY, VIA A FEDERAL LEGAL ORDER FOR TO BE HOLD LATER PICKED UP & TRANSFERRED FOR CUSTODY BY U.S. MARSHALS.
PREVIOUSLY, FROM 12:01 A.M., AUGUST 10 THRU TO 11:59 P.M., AUGUST 25, (16 DAYS) THERE HAVE BEEN AT LEAST 137 PEOPLE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, & MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE. 22 OF THOSE ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY.
SEPARATELY, SIX LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN NEIGHBORING COUNTIES (3 IN MARTIN COUNTY, 2 IN CARTER COUNTY, AND 1 IN JOHNSON COUNTY). ALSO, A MAN FROM FORT GAY, WEST VIRGINIA MAN WAS ARRESTED IN PIKE COUNTY, KY., AND A BOYD COUNTY MAN WAS ARRESTED IN BOYD COUNTY, BOTH OF THEM FOR FAILURE TO APPEAR IN LAWRENCE COUNTY COURT.
THE NUMBER OF INMATES THAT WERE HOUSED AT THE BSRDC IN PAINTSVILLE AS OF 11:59 P.M., MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, THERE WERE 182; SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 6 AT 6:00 P.M., IT 176 INMATES. ON WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 2, IT WAS UP TO 190 INMATES.
