Community coming together for the ‘Adopt a Senior’ Project
Local business owner Crystal Marcum, of Marcum Custom Graphics has started a Facebook page ‘Adopt a Lawrence County Senior’ and now ‘Adopt a Tolsia Rebel Senior’.
Her business started out in a little 8×8 bedroom making crafts and it quickly took off and in no time she was shipping all over the country. Shortly after she started she was offered a brick and mortar store. She has since then grown to a bigger building and a garage. Marcum Custom Graphics offers over 5,000 items customized and do car wraps, banners, signs as well as t-shirts, tumblers, socks, coffee mugs, pet accessories, etc.
The Adopt a Senior page started when she began to receive messages from seniors about purchasing their own signs. Although she was impressed with those seniors wanting to purchase their signs, the mother in her was screaming “No!”
That was the fire that started this whole project.
She thought if she could get just a few people to help and donate and help these kids out and get them something special.
The community has rallied together once again and come through with the support and adopting of the seniors. You can purchase and sign, t-shirt, and tumbler for the seniors. Just message Crystal Marcum she will give you prices on the items and you can tell her what you would like to purchase for them.
She stated that this would not be successful without the loving outpour of our community, and that is what is making this happen.
Thank you Crystal. This is an amazing gift for our area seniors. It is very much appreciated.
What a nice lady to deal with. Thank you, Crystal for your time and effort. I and I’m sure the Seniors appreciate your work!
