AFTER A FLURRY OF ARRESTS AT END OF SEPTEMBER IN LAWRENCE COUNTY; ONLY A HANDFUL OF ARRESTS SINCE START OF OCTOBER, JUST DUIs AND PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS; BUT NEIGHBORING COUNTIES OF JOHNSON COUNTY, MAGOFFIN COUNTY, AND MARTIN COUNTY GO FULL THROTTLE IN PAST WEEK AND A HALF, AS THEIR MAJOR BLITZ OF ARREST NUMBERS TOTAL COMBINED OUTDO LAWRENCE COUNTY 10 TO 1!
In the past 10 day period from 12:01 A.M. September 27, 2019 thru to 11:59 P.M. October 6, 2019; there were at least 134 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 134, 13 of those arrested were from Lawrence County.
Six Lawrence County residents were arrested in other Kentucky counties (3 in Martin County, 2 in Boyd County, and 1 in Henderson County). Also, a Fort Gay, West Virginia resident was transferred and is lodged in Pike County, Kentucky via federal law enforcement.
That is in comparison to the previous past 7 day period from 12:01 A.M. September 20,2019 thru to 11:59 P.M. September 26, 2019; there were at least 54 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 54, 8 of those arrested were from Lawrence County. Six Lawrence County residents were arrested in other Kentucky counties (2 in Martin County, 2 in Pike County, 1 in Johnson County,and 1 in Bath County). In addition, there was an arrest that was missed and was placed that should been for the previous arrest report.
The number of inmates that were lodged at the BSRDC in Paintsville was 240 as of 7:00 A.M.,Monday, October 7, 2019; it was at a high of 244 on Saturday night, October 5.
The names and criminal charges of those latest thirteen arrested in Lawrence County, along with the six Lawrence County residents arrested in other Kentucky county jurisdictions, are the following:
Anthony F. Bart, 22, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; was taken into custody on September 27, 2019, at 12:37 P.M., in the Lawrence County court, by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence: ]
• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
Dustin D. Slone, 41, of Louisa; was arrested on September 28,2019, at 4:16 P.M.,by deputy Cory Cook, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• FAILURE TO APPEAR.
Malissa D. Ferguson, 34, of Mazie, Kentucky; was arrested on September 27, 2019, at 9:58 P.M., by Constable Daniel Castle, of the Lawrence County Constable Office-District 3, and Constable Paul Wells, of the Lawrence County Constable Office-District 1, and was charged with:
• CULTIVATE IN MARIJUANA (5 PLANTS OR MORE) 1ST OFFENSE,

James M. Trimble, 31, of Isonville, Kentucky; was arrested on September 27, 2019, at 10:12 P.M., by Constable Daniel Castle, of the Lawrence County Constable Office-District 3, and Constable Paul Wells, of the Lawrence County Constable Office-District 1, and was charged with:

Krystal Leann Stanley, 28, of Louisa, Kentucky; was taken into custody on September 28, 2019, at 5:14 P.M., by chief deputy Aaron Blevins the Martin County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence:

Arthur C. Hale, 40, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested in Martin County on October 2, 2019, at 9:01 P.M., by a deputy of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

Kelley Nicole Atkins, 27, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested in Boyd County on October 4, 2019, at 9:17 P.M., by a trooper of the Kentucky State Police-Post 14-Ashland, Ky., and was charged with:
