SEVEN PEOPLE INDICTED IN MARTIN CO. ON SEPARATE SEPTEMBER DAYS
FOUR OF THE SIX INDICTED FOR FELONY BAIL JUMPING, SEVENTH PERSON GETS INDIVIDUAL INDICTMENT RATHER QUICKLY JUST TWO WEEKS AFTER BEING ARRESTED ON THOSE CHARGES
Eddie Maynard, 55, of Lovely, Kentucky; who is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs; for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and five syringes and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs which impaired his ability to operate the motor vehicle on November 2, 2018.
Eddie Maynard also has a residential address listed in Louisa, Kentucky.
The Martin Grand County Jury returned one indictment on September 12. The person named in that indictment true bill was:
Mitchell L. Moore, 48, of Ashland, Kentucky; who is charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest, menacing, second-degree disorderly conduct, third-degree terroristic threatening, and third-degree assault of a police officer.
According to the indictment, on or before August 30, 2019, Moore was allegedly in a public place manifestly under the influence of a controlled substance or other intoxicating substance to the degree that he was a a danger to himself or other persons or property, or unreasonably annoying to persons in his vicinity; intentionally prevented, or attempted to prevent, a peace officer from effecting an arrest by using or threatening to use force or violence against the peace officer; placed another person reasonably apprehension of imminent physical injury; intentionally and unlawfully engaged in violent or threatening behavior in a public place with intent to cause public inconvenience, annoyance, and/or alarm; threatened to commit a crime likely to result in death or serious physical injury to another person which is likely to result in property damage to another person; assaulted or attempted to assault Martin County Constable Tony Preece.
Mitchell Moore taken into custody after September 12 indictment shortly after 12 A.M. on September 16, by trooper William E. Holbrook, of the Kentucky State Police-Post 9-Pikeville, Ky., and was lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, where Mitchell Moore is still lodged as of sundown Friday, September 27.
