Rock Prom 2019
Friday, April 5, 2019 ROCK Prom held their 6th annual themed Prom at First Baptist Church’s recreation facility.
ROCK (Raising Our Christian Kids) is an interdenominational activities group geared toward homeschool students and private school students. Public schools are always welcome to participate. ROCK host dances, festivals, field trips and other activities to help students interact socially with other Christian children. They have weekly co-op meetings throughout the school year. They do not collect dues or charge membership fees it’s taught and headed by volunteers. In a brief statement “ROCK would like to thank Emmanuel Baptist who allows us to use the church for weekly co-op and blessed to have local churches and the Lawrence County Extension Office for allowing us to use the facilities for activities at no cost.”
The students from all blended schools were dressed to impress and having a great time from the grand marshal entrance next to the dance floor where they had a DJ and lazer light show and then the crowning of the Duchess & Duke, The Princess & Prince and The Queen and King. There were plenty of smiles, laughter and pics.
