PRESTONSBURG, KY — Lawrence Co. Softball improved to 6-2 after a doubleheader sweep of Prestonsburg Thursday evening at the Stonecrest Sport Park in 58th District action.

Lady Bulldogs 12 Lady Blackcats 1 ( Game 1 )
Mackenzie Methax struck out seven to get the win and Ashley Hayes smacked a Home Run.
Lady Bulldogs 15 Lady Blackcats 3 ( Game 2 )
Alli Triplett struck out 6 to get the win and Halli Caudill hit her second home run of the week as the Lady Dawgs improves to 3-0 in 58th District play.
Lady Bulldogs 14 Lady Bobcats 0 ( Tuesday )
Lawrence Co. went on the road to pick up Win #1 in 58th District play. Mackenzie Methax went two innings and hit a 2 run homer to help her cause. Alli Triplett went the final three innings and struck out 6 batters.
Halli Caudill hit a grand slam and Kassidy Cavins belted a 2 run homer as well.
Russell 3 Lady Bulldogs 0 ( Friday )
Lawrence Co. dropped a close decision to 16th Region foe Russell. Mackenzie Methax struck out two in the loss.
Lady Bulldogs 18 Lady Rebels 1 ( Game 1 )
Lawrence Co. Junior Mackenzie Methax went the distance to pick up the road victory she struck out three.
Lady Bulldogs 20 Lady Rebels 1 ( Game 2 )
Lawrence Co. Junior Ashley Hayes went the distance and struck out one Lady Rebel to get the win.
Lawrence Co. will make their annual spring break trip to Myrtle Beach next week.
