On November 8, 2018 at 12:57pm Officer Hunter James made a traffic stop on a 2012 Nissan Altima on East Sycamore Street.
During the investigation it was discovered that the driver, Prince Stevens 26 of Louisa, had in his possession items and drugs that led to his arrest for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st off.
Officer James, assisted by Sgt. Wilburn and LPD K-9 unit Kenya located meth & oxycodone along with a sum of cash and drug paraphernalia. Stevens was lodged into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.

On November 9, 2018 at 10:17am Officer Hunter James and Chief Greg Fugitt of the LPD responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint in the Food City parking lot.
Located in the vehicle were Donald Dickerson 32 of Louisa and Kenneth Fitch, 44 also of Louisa. During the investigation it was determined that both subjects were Trafficking in Methamphetamine. Both were arrested and charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st, Possession of Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia.
It was also determined that Dickerson had an outstanding warrant for a previous possession charge.
