100 MPH CHASE THROUGH PRICHARD, KENOVA RESULTS IN ARREST OF DOLLAR GENERAL ROBBERY SUSPECT
Salyersville man is also a suspect in gas station holdup in Putnam County earlier the same morning
PRICHARD, WVA. — Just after noon Sunday Wayne Co deputies responded to a robbery at Dollar General in Prichard.
A deputy was traveling south on US 52 to locate the suspect when the suspect nearly hit the deputy head on and forced him off the road. The deputy then took off in pursuit of the vehicle.
The suspect blew through a stop sign at the WV Rt 75 and US 52 intersection at speeds around 100 MPH, the report said. A Kenova Police Officer joined the pursuit at that time. The suspect ran multiple vehicles off the road before going into KY.
The suspect was apprehended in Catlettsburg KY. where officers recovered money, clothing and shoes allegedly used during the robbery of Dollar General Store.
The suspect, Michael May, 28, of Salyersville KY, faces charges in KY as well as Robbery 2nd Degree and Fleeing in Wayne County.

* Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree in Ky.
Michael May is also the suspect in the Putnam County gas station robbery in the early morning hours.
Boyd County Sheriff’s office made the arrest. Catlettsburg PD and Ashland PD assisted.
