Fort Gay, W. Va. — Tolsia (6-16) avenged an early season loss on Tuesday with a 68-55 victory over Huntington St. Joe (7-15) on Senior night at Rebel Arena.
Tolsia got off to a sluggish start and trailed 8-3 before going on a 16-0 run as the Rebel faithful roared with appreciation as the Rebels claimed a 19-8 lead after one period.
St. Joe made a little run in the second quarter but still trailed 33-23 at Halftime.
In the third period Tolsia came out determined to close out a victory on Senior night and built a 15 point lead going into the 4th period.
The Irish cut the lead to 8 in the final stanza but didn’t get any closer as the Rebels closed out the regular season in style.
Senior Jonathon Johnson paced four Rebels in double figures with 18 points, Jacob Mollette hit 4 three pointers and finished with 17 points, Rob Cantrell tallied 14 points, Austin Salmons chipped in with 12 points, Senior Jared Switzer went 4-4 from the line and dished out 9 assists, Tyler Johnson had 3 points.
THS hit 5 three pointers and went 16-25 from the charity stripe.

The Rebels jumped out to big 36-17 lead at halftime as Austin Salmons, Jared Switzer and Rob Cantrell combined for 33 points.
Rose Hill showed some grit in the second half and cut the lead to seven points a couple different times but couldn’t get any closer.
Switzer led the Rebels with 18 points, Cantrell 14 and Salmons 13. Jacob Mollette chipped in with 8, Tyler Johnson went 6-6 from the line for 6 points and Jonathon Johnson finished with 3 points.
THS hit 5 three pointers and went 19-28 from the line.

#6 Seed Tolsia will meet #3 Seed Huntington St. Joe in a Region 4 Section 2 first round matchup Saturday at 7:00.
