“…I was really proud of the team as a whole. Our defense showed up to play and we took care of the offensive part of the game. Really proud of all of my teammates. As for the home run, I got up there and just prayed I would hit the ball. I hit the ball (eventual home run) and immediately thought I popped it out. I heard Kenny yell, “Natalie Rice!!!!” And I knew it was out. First varsity dinger and I’m still hype from it.”

COACH’S COMMENTS
“… It was a good win for our girls. Chesapeake kid threw it well and they had some good bats in their line up. We played solid on defense, had 9 hits and Ciana Bowen pitched it well. Really excited to see Natalie Rice turn on one and hit a Bomb to left. It’s always a good feeling to see such a great young lady get rewarded with a massive shot like that. Natalie has been one of our better hitters of late. She has made a big effort to improve in the box and it shows.”
