This week is National Fire Prevention. You can go to the following link www.fpw.org to download free information and tips on how to keep your family safe. On this site you will find activities such as coloring pages, quiz’s, fire escape plans and e-books all for free to help in teaching kids to be fire safe. If you live in or around Louisa the following will be going on at the Louisa Fire Dept.
Tuesday night – 10/11/16 – Starting at 6:00 p.m. fire engine rides will take place at Station 1 (downtown station). The rides will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sparky will be on hand to give out balloons and fire hats to everyone who attends.
Saturday – 10/15/2016 – Open house at Station 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. events will include: fire safety house to teach kids how to escape a smoke filled home, fire engine rides, fun inflatable’s, and Sparky will be on hand to greet the kids with fire hats and balloons. At the end of the day there will be a drawing for door prizes such as smoke alarms and fire extinguishers and a bicycle for a boy and a girl.
