JAIL ARRESTS FOR THE FIRST FIVE DAYS OF JULY SPIKED FOR THE FIRST 2 DAYS FOR OTHER BSRDC COUNTIES BUT THEN NOSEDIVED, LAWRENCE COUNTY SPIKED FOR THE FIRST TWO DAYS, BUT ONLY ONE ARREST FROM THE 3RD TO THE 5TH. SINCE THE SECOND WEEK OF JUNE, ARRESTS IN THE AREA HAVE DROPPED TO AROUND HALF THEIR AVERAGE NUMBERS.
From 12:01 A.M. July 1, 2016 to 11:59 P.M. July 5, 2016; 55 arrested individuals were brought into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of the 55 arrested in this last five day period of June 23-30, just 7 arrests were from Lawrence County.
The number of people booked each day from July 1 thru July 5 at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville was as the following: FRIDAY – JULY 1: 21, SATURDAY-JULY 2: 14, SUNDAY-JULY 3: 9, MONDAY-JULY 4: 7, TUESDAY-JULY 5: 4.
Christina Betzner, 26, of Lomansville, turned himself in July 1, 2016 at 12:26 P.M., to the Lawrence County Sheriff Department to serve a jail sentence with: CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
Terry M Stapleton, 57, of Louisa, was arrested July 1, 2016 at 12:41 P.M., by an officer with the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
Matthew R. Caudill, 30, of Louisa, was arrested on July 1, 2016 at 8:30 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE)-[TWO SEPARATE COUNTS], • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS, • NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT, • LICENSE TO BE IN POSSESSION, • FAILURE OF OWNER TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/SECURITY, 1ST OFFENSE.
Stacy Workman, 42, of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; was arrested May 27, 2016 at 3:51 A.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL), • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
William G. Cantrell, of Louisa, was arrested July 2 2016 at 11:45 A.M., by an officer with the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) NO VISIBLE INJURY.
Eric Keith Pridemore, 42, of Staffordsville, Kentucky; was arrested July 2, 2016 at 10:40 P.M., by trooper Bryan Layne of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: CHARGES UNKNOWN.
Kaitlin Riner, 21, of Louisa, was arrested July 3, 2016 at 12:54 A.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • SERVING WARRANT (FOR OTHER POLICE AGENCY), for a bench warrant out of Montgomery County, Kentucky.
