CELEBRATE EARTH DAY 2016
Frankfort – The public is invited to the 2016 Earth Day celebration Thursday at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History in downtown Frankfort.
The Energy and Environment Cabinet, the Kentucky Division for Air Quality and the Kentucky Environmental Education Council will host an environmental education event while honoring several nominees for the Kentucky Green Ribbon Schools program and awardees for the Green and Healthy Schools program for their accomplishments in energy conservation. The Environmental Quality Commission also will honor the 2016 Earth Day Award recipients.
Twenty-five state and local agencies, along with nonprofit organizations, will be represented at the event with educational booths. The history center is at 100 West Broadway in Frankfort.
