He was a member of International Union of Operators Engineers 132 of Charleston, WV and a member of the First Baptist Church of Hickman.
He was preceded in death by his father David. H. Roberts.
Survivors include his loving wife, Katy Roberts; mother, Bobbye Jean Coffey Roberts of Knoxville, TN; a son, Nicholas Roberts of Nancy; a stepson, Terry (Stephanie) Morris of Lexington; a daughter, Maggie Marie of Hawaii; two sisters, Retha (Reece) Cloar of Knoxville, TN and Lori Roberts Fohl of Nashville, TN; a brother Gary (Amy) Ball of Prichard, WV; three grandsons, Emmitt Roberts, Alex Meadows and Jackson Morris; a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved; and his loving puppy Lucy.
Dave leaves behind many friends who will cherish their memories of him who will never forget his love for Harley Davidson bikes, traveling, cooking and helping everyone in any way he could. He will also be remembered as a kind, a beautiful and a precious soul by being a live donor for a person in need of a liver transplant.
He was known to make everyone around him feel happier, loved and cared for especially his wife Katy who he loved with all his heart.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 PM with Rev. Keith Workman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made toward the education of Dave’s grandchildren.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Roberts and his family.
