IN SEPARATE CASE, A WOODFORD COUNTY, KENTUCKY MAN ARRESTED BY STATE POLICE SPECIAL UNIT AFTER BEING CHARGED WITH 30 CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OFFENSES

ALLEGED JUVENILE MOLESTER: JOHNNY JOHNSON, 25, OF MANCHESTER, KENTUCKY.
A Clay County, Kentucky man was taken to jail after police said he reportedly attempted to sexually assault a female minor.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, deputy Zach Baker responded to the call at a hospital shortly after midnight, early Tuesday morning, June 12 .
After deputy Baker and other other deputies arrived at the hospital, a woman told police that her daughter had been sexually abused.
After taking statements from the woman, deputies were also told that Johnny Johnson, 25,of Manchester, KY., took the minor to a store to get a vape.
Once Johnny ohnson and the minor left the store, Johnny Johnson then took the minor to Cotton Bend Road, where he attempted to sexually assault her.
Johnny Johnson was rrested by deputy Zack Baker and was charged with:
- SEXUAL ABUSE, 1ST DEGREE.
Johnny Jonhson was taken to the Clay County Detention Center in Manchester, KY., where he is being held on no bond allowed.

WOODFORD COUNTY, KENTUCKY MAN ARRESTED BY STATE POLICE SPECIAL UNIT ON THIRTY CHARGES OF CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OFFENSES

A Woodford County, Kentucky man remains in jail after getting busted by a state police special unit on large number of child sexual abuse pornography charges.
On Tuesday, June 6, 2024, at approximately 8:10 P.M., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested Chad A. Swiger, 43, of Versailles, Kentucky; on charges related to child sexual abuse material.
Chad Swiger was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.
The investigation resulted in a search warrant at a residence in Versailles on Tuesday, June 6, 2024. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.
Chad Swiger is currently charged with twenty (20) counts of: *DISTRIBUTIONTON OF MATTER PORTRAYING SEX PERFORMANCE BY MINOR UNDER 12 YEARS OLD – 1ST OFFENSE; and ten (10) counts of: *POSSESSION MATTER PORTRAY SEXUAL PERFORMANCE BY MINOR UNDER/12 YEARS OLD
These thirty (30) charges are Class-C felonies punishable by five (5) to ten (10) years in prison. If convicted by a jury in a criminal trial on all the charges. Chad Swiger could receive from 1150 years to 300 years in state prison. Due to the large number of chagres, Chad Swiger could possibly face additional legal trouble via indictment by a federal grand jury on federal child pornography charges
Chad Swiger was lodged in the Woodford County Detention Center in Versailles, KY., on a one million dollar ($1,000,000) full cash bond only. He has his first court hearing scheduled in Woodford County District Court on Monday, June 17, at 1:30 P.M.
The Kentucky Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is comprised of more than twenty-six local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. The mission of the ICAC Task Force, created by the United States Department of Justice and administrated by the Kentucky State Police, is to assist state and local law enforcement agencies in developing a response to cyber enticement and child sexual abuse material investigations. This support encompasses forensic and investigative components, training and technical assistance, victim services, prevention and community education. The ICAC program was developed in response to the increasing number of children and teenagers using the internet, the proliferation of child sexual abuse material, and the heightened online activity of predators searching for unsupervised contact with underage victims.
