LOUISA, Ky. — A Lawrence County Grand Jury met on April 11, 2024 and issued the following criminal indictments:
Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Cody Maynard
The Grand Jury charges: that on or about March 7, 2024, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:
1. Cody Maynard acting alone or in the complicity with Xavier Brewer committed the offense of Burglary in the 2nd Degree by knowingly and unlawfully entering and remaining in a dwelling house owned by Internal Revenue Service located on Shiloh Drive in Louisa, Kentucky, with the intent to commit the crime of theft therein.
Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Xavier Brewer
The Grand Jury charges: that on or about March 7, 2024, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:
1. Xavier Brewer acting alone or in the complicity with Cody Maynard committed the offense of Burglary in the 2nd Degree by knowingly and unlawfully entering and remaining in a dwelling house owned by Internal Revenue Service located on Shiloh Drive in Louisa, Kentucky, with the intent to commit the crime of theft therein.
Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Joshua Neal Blair
The Grand Jury charges: that on or about February 9, 2024, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:
1. Joshua Neal Blair committed the offense of Burglary in the 2nd Degree by knowingly and unlawfully entering and remaining in a dwelling house of Joyce Gilliam, located on Route 32 in the community of Martha, Kentucky, with the intent to commit the crime of theft therein.
Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Michael Wellman
The Grand Jury charges: that on or before November 10, 2023, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:
1. Michael Wellman committed the offense of Arson in the 2nd Degree by intentionally starting a fire, causing the destruction of the dwelling house of Khrista Wellman, namely a Champion manufactured home located at 7998 N. Highway 201 in the Webbville community of Lawrence County, Kentucky, with the intent to destroy and/or damage the dwelling house.
Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Robert Gillespie
The Grand Jury charges: that on or before November 8, 2023, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:
1. Robert Gillespie committed the offense of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of approximately 1.602 grams, with the intent to traffic in that Methamphetamine or by trafficking in that 1.602 grams of Methamphetamine.
2. That the Defendant, having been charged in the instant indictment with the above stated felony count (s), is now being charged as a Persistent Felony Offender, in the 2nd Degree.
Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Robert Gillespie
The Grand Jury charges: that on or before November 9, 2023, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above-named defendant:
1. Robert Gillespie committed the offense of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of approximately 1.602 grams, with the intent to traffic in that Methamphetamine or by trafficking in that 1.602 grams of Methamphetamine.
2. That the Defendant, having been charged in the instant indictment with the above stated felony count (s), is now being charged as a Persistent Felony Offender, in the 2nd Degree.

I’d like to ask the judge how ma y times you going to let these criminals go.
Me to. Cody May and keeps getting into trouble they smack his hand and let him go. The judge should be held accountable if he hurts somebody.
