2021 Rogers Scholar and Lawrence County High School student Trey Hall delivered blankets to more than 70 students at all six schools in the district. He started the “Blankets for Children” community service project to help meet the needs of students served by the school’s family resource and youth services centers.
“To me, this project symbolized how fortunate I am to be given the opportunity to make this kind of difference in my community,” Hall said. “The collection of blankets I received meant that I was part of something much bigger than myself, and that was giving hope (in the form of warmth) to those in need of it most.”
