Easter Douglas ‘Granny’ Wellman

Easter Douglas “Granny” Wellman, 85, of Ashland, KY passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital of Ashland, KY.
Ms. Wellman was born June 20, 1932 in Louisa, KY to the late John A. and Laura M. (Hanners) Vaughan. She was preceded in death by her husband, John David Wellman who passed away in April 1997.
She is survived by one daughter: Pamela (Harold) Bayes of Cattletsburg, KY, one son: John Douglas (Pat) Wellman of Louisa, KY, and four grandchildren, Jeremy (Crystal) Wellman of Winchester, KY, Joshua Wellman of Maysville, KY, Jason (Natalie) Wellman of Louisa, KY, and Laura Bayes of Cattletsburg, KY. She also leaves behind ten Great Grandchildren.
She was a retired cook for the Wayne Co. Board of Education, a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and a KY Colonel.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm on Thursday, March 29 at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Wellman Cemetery, Fort Gay.
Friends may visit the family on Thursday, March 29 from 11am until the time of services at Wilson Funeral Home.
