A LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ky. Grand Jury met on December 8th handing down first degree rape charges against 29 year-old Steven L. Price of Louisa involving a child less than 12 years of age. The GJ handed down 13 indictments against 11 individuals.
Steven L. Price, 28, of Louisa, KY. Indicted on RAPE IN THE FIRST DEGREE VICTIM UNDER 12 YEARS OF AGE, a class A felony (Penalty 20 to 50 years).
The Grand Jury charges that on or before February 7, 2015 in Lawrence County, Ky. Steven L. Price committed the offense of rape in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully engaging in sexual intercourse with a child less than 12 years of age. Bail set at $50,000.
Robert Locklear, 44, of High Ridge, MO. Indicted on BAIL JUMPING IN THE FIRST DEGREE, a class D felony (Penalty 1-5 years and fine).
The Grand Jury charges that on or before April 8,2016 in Lawrence County, Ky. Robert Locklear knowingly and unlawfully having been released from custody by the court, with or without bail, upon condition that he would subsequently appear at the specified time and place in connection with a felony charge of FLAGRANT NON SUPPORT failed to appear at the time and place as ordered by the court. Bail set at $5,000.
Terry Hensley, 42, of Louisa, Ky. Indicted on ASSAULT IN THE FOURTH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE/THIRD OR SUBSEQUENT OFFENSE WITHIN 5 YEARS) a class D felony (Penalty 1-5 years). The Grand Jury charges the on or before October 21, 2016 in Lawrence County, Ky. Terry Hensley, while having at least two previous convictions of assault fourth degree (domestic violence), he knowingly and unlawfully assaulted his domestic partner Juanita Marcum, causing physical injury to her. Bail set at $5,000.

Terry Hensley, 42, of Louisa, Ky. Indicted on ASSAULT IN THE FOURTH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE/THIRD OR SUBSEQUENT OFFENSE WITHIN 5 YEARS) a class D felony (penalty 1-5 years), CRIMINAL MISCHIEF IN THE THIRD DEGREE, class A misdemeanor, TERRORISTS THREATENING IN THE THIRD DEGREE, class A misdemeanor, and ALCOHOL INTOXICATION, violation. The Grand Jury charges that on or before October 18, 2016 in Lawrence County, Ky. that Terry Hensley knowingly and unlawfully assaulted his domestic partner, Juanita Marcum, causing physical injury to her, caused damage to property owned by Bonnie Sizemore of Louisa, Ky. He knowingly and unlawfully threatened to commit any crime likely to result in physical injury to another person and appeared in a public setting manifestly under the influence of alcohol or other substances. Bail set at $5,000.
Roger Webb, 39, of Louisa, Ky. Indicted on POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE FIRST DEGREE, a class D felony (Penalty 1-5 years). The Grand Jury charges that on or before April 7, 2016 in Lawrence County, Ky. Roger Webb knowingly and unlawfully was in possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. Bail set at $5,000
Matthew R. Newsome, 35, of Ashland, Ky. Indicted on POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE FIRST DEGREE, class D felony (penalty 1-3 years) and USE OR POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA FIRST OFFENSE, class A misdemeanor (penalty not more than 12 months).
Separate Case:
The Grand Jury charges that on or before September 2, 2016 in Lawrence County, Ky. Matthew R. Newsome committed the offense by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a schedule I narcotic, heroin and knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of 6 syringes. Bail set at $5,000.
David Bryan Johnson, 39, of Louisa, Ky. Indicted on ASSAULT IN THE THIRD DEGREE, class D felony (penalty 1-5), DISORDERLY CONDUCT, class B misdemeanor, FALSELY REPORTING AN INCIDENT, class A misdemeanor, and PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER IN THE FIRST DEGREE AND ENHANCEMENT.
The Grand Jury charges that on or about October 29, 2016 in Lawrence County, Ky. David Bryan Johnson knowingly and unlawfully caused physical injury or attempted to cause physical injury to Officer Hunter James with the Louisa Police Department while working within his official capacity as a police officer. Defendant knowingly and unlawfully engaged in a fight or in violent, tumultuous or threatening behavior in a public place. Defendant knowingly and unlawfully causing a false alarm or other emergency, likely to cause public inconvenience or alarm. The defendant having been charged in the indictment with the above stated felony, is now being charged as a persistent felony offender, in the first degree, for the reason that the defendant, now more than 20 years of age was previously convicted of 2 prior felonies when he was at least 18 years of age, which sentence and posed a term of imprisonment of 1 year or more, or was within 5 years of commission of the instant offense, or was on some form of legal release at the time of the commission of instant offense. Bail set at $15,000.
Alisha Martin, 37, of Hitchens, Ky. Indicted on POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE FIRST DEGREE/ SECOND OFFENSE, class D felony (Penalty 1-3 years).
The Grand Jury charges that on or before February 13, 2016 in Lawrence County, Ky. that Alisha Martin committed the offense knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. Bail set at $5,000.
Eric Tyler Ward, 21, of Louisa, Ky. Indicted on CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A FORGED INSTRUMENT IN THE SECOND DEGREE, class D felony (penalty 1-5 years), and THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OVER $500 AND UNDER $10,000, a class D felony (Penalty 1-5 years).
The Grand Jury charges that from or about June 16, 2016 through July 25, 2016 in Lawrence County, Ky. the defendant on July 25, 2016 committed the offense by knowingly and unlawfully had the intent to defraud, deceive, or injure another, utters or possesses a fraudulent or forged check drawn that he passed at Louisa Community Bank in the amount of $250. Defendant on July 5, 2016 through July 25, 2016 committed the offense by taking checks registered on an account with Louisa Community Bank on July 5, 2016 for $9.19, on July 11, 2016 for $225, on July 15, 2016 for $300, on July 19, 2016 for $500, $150, and $150, on July 20, 2016 for $100, on July 25, 2016 for $250, an amount exceeding $500. Bail set at $5,000.
Reatha McKenzie, 75, of Louisa, Ky. Indicted on KNOWINGLY EXPLOIT ADULT BY PERSON GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO $300/ COMPLICITY, class C felony (penalty 5-10 years).
The Grand Jury charges that on or before August 3, 2016 through August 16, 2016 in Lawrence County, Reatha McKenzie acted alone or in complicity with Clyde McKenzie and others committed offense resulting in a total loss to an adult exceeding $300 financially or other resources or both, namely Charlene Blake of Louisa, Ky. Bail set at $10,000.
Clyde McKenzie, 56, of Louisa, Ky. Indicted on KNOWINGLY EXPLOIT ADULT BY PERSON GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO $300/ COMPLICITY, class C felony (penalty 5-10 years).
The Grand Jury charges that on or before August 3, 2016 through August 16, 2016 in Lawrence County, Clyde McKenzie acted alone or in complicity with Reatha McKenzie and others committed offense resulting in a total loss to an adult exceeding $300 financially or other resources or both, namely Charlene Blake of Louisa, Ky. Bail set at $10,000
