Tuesday was Dean Stinebring Night in the Eagle Ridge Golf League

It was a beautiful night at Eagle Ridge. The scoring drought that occurred last week ended. Where only one person reached par last Tuesday, 11 out of the 21 golfers who played Tuesday night bested par with their net score. For the night, James Chaffins, Bill England, Jeff Thompson, Mike Hogan, Brad Lafferty, John Chaffin’s, Bill Jackson, Ronnie Wellman, Tom Copley, J Lynn See, and Dean Stinebring all turned in scores under par. Where last week there were only 2 birdies, this Tuesday there were 15 birdies and 1 eagle. The average score posted was 7 shots better than last week. But the night belonged to Dean Stinebring.

For Dean Stinebring, the course was magical. Dean shot a 5 under par 31 which is the lowest gross score I recall having been shot in the league. With Dean’s handicap of 4, his net score was 27 which I believe ties the lowest net score posted during league play. All I can say is WOW!

Although there were only 21 who participated, makeup rounds have been turned in as some players are finishing their spring duties, such as umpiring and the like. In a couple of weeks, the league will be full of participants. Makeup rounds are not reported.

Now for the scores and the highlights for May 15.
