YES We need a New School and YES they can stop spending so much on Sports and Build from that Money because the Nickle Tax WILL NOT HAPPEN ask Johnson County what they had to do they had to Pay Back a Million Bucks and I really do not think they still have paid it all back yet so Nickle Tax BAD IDEA

You showed your inability to understand statistics. Of the annual budget, which is in the MILLIONS, about a couple THOUSAND dollars goes to the sports programs. Again, 98-99% of the taxpayer money goes to education.
You do realize that out of the annual budget, that spending on athletics accounts for between 1-2% of the overall cost. That the sports teams fund 98-99% of their seasons. Of course you don't.

Well get a Clue if You are around the school any at all. You can ask anyone what has the most money spent on it and they will say Sports. I am NOT by any means against Sports. They are Good for the Kids but if You want a New School stop the Bad Spending and Not giving Coaches Raises that do Not Need it and they Scream NO MONEY if anyone else ask for a Raise. So want a NEW SCHOOL then get it from someplace other than a NEW Tax that does Not work and YES I am ALL for a NEW SCHOOL but find a different way to get the Money.

The board of education is wasting their time and taxpayers money if they think the nickel tax will pass. There’s no way it will. I can’t wait to say I told you so.

Quoting ProSchool 4 Sure:
As the recipient of at least 11 years of education in LC, I can say I would vote for anything to help get a new school in Louisa. It is run down and falling apart. Any day now it could fall down on the kids and teachers heads. Come on people our children need it and by the way I have no children but Louisa kids are my kids because I live in this community and so do you. As Whitney Houston sang, "I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way." Sorry for the run on sentences, hopefully this is acceptable for internet commentary purposes.

Whitney Houston was on DRUGS. Not a very good comparison.

Quoting Really?:
They just voted to raise duel credit teachers pay from an extra 500 to 2000 dollars. What a crock. Now they want even more money to waste. Get rid of the whole bunch including Fletcher. The board is pathetic.

What's wrong with raising the pay for the teachers that are teaching DUAL credit classes? Our children need college classes. A high school education will get you nowhere!!! DUAL not duel. Too funny.

Here we go Lawrence County. This needs to be voted down. I really don’t care what people say about this comment. It is not the right time for this with all of the unemployment and loss of tax dollars. One reason is how can this board and Dr Fletcher ask for an increase in taxes fo be used for a new school if they will not award a small job like the grass mowing to the low bidder? Repeat after me. Corrupt and mismanaged and Fletcher allows it to happen. Come on Gene Wilson, help Lawrence County taxpayers with this!!!!! Remember voters to vote this down and if any board member is up for re-election, vote them out. By the way, Mr. Preston is a joke of a board member, just sayin.
