MAY 9, 2018 - written by WADE QUEEN

A woman who was wanted by several law enforcement agencies throughout the tri-state area, is now facing charges in Martin County, after she was transported back to eastern Kentucky.

Alexis WilliamsAlexis WilliamsAlexis Williams, 26, of Piketon, Ohio, was extradited back to Martin County, on Wednesday May 2, 2018 for several warrants, from Pickaway County, Ohio, where Williams was also facing charges. Williams was brought back by deputy Jamey Todd of the Martin County Sheriff's Department.

The charges Williams is facing in Martin County are:

• FAILURE TO APPEAR,

• BAIL JUMPING 1ST DEGREE,

• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION AUTO - $500 OR MORE BUT UNDER/$10,000,

• FUGITIVE FROM ANOTHER STATE - WARRANT REQUIRED.

The failure to appear charge involves Williams being a no show in Martin County Court, which stems from her being charged in March 2017 and later indicted in September 2017, for manufacturing meth in a room at the Inez Motel, along with Nicholas Ward, 39, of Inez.

Over the past several weeks, Alexis Williams has been transferred between different counties to face different charges.

Law enforcement says Ms. Williams is also wanted in Wayne County and Mingo County, West Virginia.

She is accused of stealing a 1998 Cavalier, a 38 Smith & Wesson and a 22 Revolver, plus several pocket knives, and cash in Mingo County in mid-March 2018.

Williams was also arrested in April in Gallia County, Ohio as a fugitive from justice.

The Gallia County Sheriff's Office says it was thanks to an anonymous tip that Alexis Williams was arrested at a home on State Route 160 just north of Vinton.

Alexis Williams was then transferred to Pike County, Ohio to face charges there, and eventually sent to Pickaway County, Ohio; and from there she finally was taken back to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsvile for her Martin County charges last week.

MAY 9, 2018 - written by WADE QUEEN

A Martin County man and woman were jailed after they were found unconscious, with their drugs of use, inside a motor vehicle at a Martin County convience store business site.

According to a press news release report from the Martin County Sheriff's Department, two individuals were arrested over the weekend, after police say they found them unresponsive in a vehicle at a gas station.

The arrest happened on Saturday, May 5, around 5:30 p.m., when Martin County Dispatch received a call that 2 people were passed out in a vehicle at a gas station located on Blacklog Road in Inez.

Martin County deputies say when they got to the vehicle they found David Lee Endicott, 44, of Inez, unresponsive.

When deputies finally woke Endicott up they say he allegedly had extremely slurred speech and did not know where he was. Upon search of David Endicott, officers allegedly found a metal container in his right front pocket with part of a Suboxone pill and a small clear bag with heroin inside. Endicott also reportedly tested positive for heroin during a field sobriety test.

Deputies also say in the report they also found Angela Vance, 42, of Inez, passed out inside the vehicle. Deputies report that Vance also was unresponsive and had to be “woken up.” She also allegedly had slurred speech and glassy eyes.

Both David Lee Endicott and Angela Vance were arrested.

Endicott was charged with:

• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL),

• PRESCRIPTION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE NOT PROPER CONTAINER 1ST OFFENSE,

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN).

Vance was charged with:

• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL),
