FALLSBURG, Ky. --  A small electrical fire in a second floor bathroom wall heater of Fallsburg Elementary School this morning was quickly doused but not before all students and staff were evacuated from the rural school in Lawrence County, Ky.

First responders were on the scene quickly this morning in answer to a small stove fire at Fallsburg Elementary School. Noone was injured and school continued on the regular schedule. Fallsburg Fire Chief Chris Jobe said his department was on the scene within minutes but the fire had already been extinguised by teachers and other staff at the school with a fire extinguisher.

"There wasn't much damage and the students went back into the school for a normal day," Jobe said. "There was no smoke in there at all."

Lawrence County Chief deputy Sheriff Mark Wheeler also responded to the scene.

Had to get Mark Wheeler's name in there! Who were all the fireman, or better yet who was the staff heroes who put it out! Not electioneering are we?
