Last night the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit arrested 4 people from 3 states after the DEU interrupted a large Methamphetamine (ICE) transaction in the Kenova area.

The DEU removed the occupants from 2 vehicles.

Alexander Simpson, of Dayton Ohio, dropped a bag containing 21 grams of Methamphetamine when he got out of the vehicle. Alexander was also a fugitive from Ohio that was wanted on a Parole violation for aggravated robbery and burglary.

Deputies say Bobbie Sue Clay and Cody Webb, both of Louisa KY, along with Perry Patton, of Fort Gay conspired to purchase a distribution amount of Methamphetamine from Alexander.

Methamphetamine was seized from Perry and Bobbie Clay along with packaging material, a handgun, and digital scales from their vehicle.

Alexander, Perry, and Bobbie Clay were each charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver, Conspiracy, and Pseudoephedrine Altered.

Cody Webb was charged with Aiding and Abetting and Conspiracy.

Alexander drove from Dayton, Ohio to deliver the Methamphetamine, deputies said in a press release. Sheriff Rick Thompson was present with the Drug Enforcement Unit. Road patrol deputies assisted.

Sheriff Thompson says this bust was directly related to tips received. He encourages citizens to report drug activity to the Sheriff's Department Drug Enforcement Unit.

PICTURED IS SOME OF THE EVIDENCE COLLECTED AND THE SUSPECTS...

AN ARREST DOES NOT PROVE GUILT OR INNOCENCE BUT PROVIDES A REPORT OF POLICE ACTIVITIES.
