TOGETHER WE CAN ENSURE THAT EVERY COMPANION ANIMAL ENJOYS A LONG, HAPPY, AND HEALTHY LIFE IN A LOVING HOME

Louisa, KY. — Nationwide each year millions of unwanted pets are born, and far too many of these pets become strays and/or find their way to shelters and end up being euthanized. But this doesn’t have to happen…not in our community.

In addition to helping reduce the overpopulation in pets, spaying/neutering your pet has many added benefits:

--Spayed or neutered pets feel less of an urge to roam, and are less likely to be in accidents, get in fights, and so on.
--Male dogs will be less inclined to bite.
--Both male and female pets face less risk of developing certain cancers.

And there are added benefits to you and our community:

--Spayed/neutered pets have a happier, healthier, longer life.
--Reducing strays reduces the threat of rabies, dog bites, and other health and safety issues in our community.
--Reduces “unwanted visitors” in your yard who are attracted to your female pet.
--Spayed/neutered pets are typically better behaved, calmer, and more affectionate than those that are not altered.

Join thousands of responsible pet owners nationwide to help promote and support “Spay/Neuter Awareness Month” in February. If you can’t afford the cost of having your pet spayed or neutered, there are low-cost clinics in our area which can help. Contact these local providers for information:
