Come Saturday, September 1, 2018, the town of Fort Gay will once again celebrate Mountain Heritage Day. As you probably already know, this day always begins with a parade through town with marching bands, cars, floats, etc.

The Mountain Heritage planning committee would like to invite your church to participate. The floats and displays from our local churches have always been, and will continue to be, the backbone of our parade. This is a great way to communicate God’s message to the public, as well as share a little bit of your church with everyone.

Mountain Heritage Day was founded as a family event, and the words and morals of our Lord and Savior are the very things our families need, today more than ever.

We want to urge your church to join us for Mountain Heritage Day this year. It doesn’t matter if it’s the adults, the youth, the choir….all are welcome to take part with a float in the parade or a booth on the lawn.

Maybe you have some award-winning cooks in your congregation or some really talented artists. Come join us. We are really hoping to increase the size of our parade this year, but you are more than welcome whatever you may choose to do. If you choose not to participate, we invite you to come out and enjoy the day with us!

We truly hope you will consider participating in this year’s festivities. We need you there!

“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
