Ethel Jackson Adkins

1933 -- 2018

 

Ethel Jackson Adkins, 84, of Fort Gay, WV died Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the J.J. Jordan Center in Louisa, Ky.

Ethel was born December 12, 1933 in Genoa, WV to the late Benjamin and May (Dingess) Rowe. Ethel was a homemaker and a member of the Upper Tabors Creek Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Homer Jackson, daughter Joan Judd, grandchildren Amanda Jackson and Freddie Tweedy, and siblings Luther Rowe and Mary Rowe.

Survivors include her children Tom (Judy) Jackson, Toni Shinn, Tim (Sherry) Jackson, Dale Bailey, Theresa (Martin) Hostetter, and Darlene Daniels; 15 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchilren; and siblings Frankie Smith, Vangie (Bill) Ray, Charlotte (Bruce) Caldwell, Irene (John) Caldwell, Linda (Bobby) Chaffins, Harley (Erva) Rowe, and Ellis Rowe and former son in laws Johnnie Howard and Jim Judd.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Bill Short 

1955 -- 2018

 

Bill Short, 63, of Louisa, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Monday June 11, 2018 following a brief illness.

Bill was born Feb. 8, 1955 at Lodi, Ohio the son of the late Donald and Ruby Fugitt Short. He was a retired N&W Railroad Yardmaster and of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Brenda Short.

Survivors include a sister Tammy Webb and husband Dean also of Louisa, a nephew Donald Webb; a step son Jimmy Dingess, and two step daughters Tanya Dingess and Crystal Rowe; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 14th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. John Horn. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens Louisa, KY.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson funeral Home.

Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.

 

Marie Music

1937 -- 2018

 

Marie Music, 81, of Ulysses, KY passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at her home. 

Mrs. Music was born March 15, 1937 in Waverly, West Virginia to the late Nard and Beulah Childers Castle.

She is survived by two sons, Danny Music &  Ralph Music; one daughter Rosie Stapleton; one brother, Joe Castle; and nine grandchildren. 

She was a homemaker and member of Walnut Grove Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Walnut Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Louisa, KY with Rev. James Vanhoose and Rev. Joseph Castle officiating. Burial will follow in the Becky Daniels Music Cemetery at Nippa, KY.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, June 13 after 5 PM at Walnut Grove Free Will Baptist Church and on Thursday June 14 after 11 AM at the church.

All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
