Duke Martin Tibbs

1968 -- 2018

 

Duke Martin Tibbs, 50, of Louisa, Ky. died Thursday, July 26, 2018 at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY.

Duke was born July 18, 1968 in Bluefield, WV to Brenda Tibbs, who survives. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings Lisa Tibbs, Tina Mitchell, Michael Kincaid and Crystal Kincaid. Duke was preceded in death by his sister Cherry Kincaid.

As were Duke's wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Tibbs.

 

 

Ghetonda Yates

1972 -- 2018

 

Ghetonda Yates, 45, of Columbus, OH passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Mrs. Yates was born August 19, 1972 in Ashland, Kentucky to Warren Douglas Jordan and the late Linda Bryan Jordan-Branham.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Yates, her father Warren Jordan Jordan; two daughters Ashlee Nicole Stewart and Hollie Ann Scappaticcio; one brother, Gregory Jordan; one step-son Joey Yates, and one granddaughter Madilyn Grace Scappaticcio

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Neil Wilks officiating. Burial will follow in the Ogle Cemetery at Cattletsburg, KY.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, July 27 after 6:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home.

All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.

 

 

Lillian Ledoshia “Lil” Rowe

1932 -- 2018

 

Lillian Ledoshia “Lil” Rowe, 85, of Louisa, KY passed away Wednesday July 25, 2018 into the arms of her Heavenly Father with her family by her side. 

Mrs. Rowe was born December 25, 1932 in Tadpole, KY to the late Garfield and Millie Lou Thompson Scarberry.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers Curtis Edward Scarberry, Scott Winfield Scarberry, and infant brother Kenneth Scarberry.

She is survived by her loving husband, Orville Rowe, one son, Orville Dallas Rowe, one daughter, Brenda Banks, four sisters, Gretchen Childers, Bessie Rowe, Bonnie Sue Blackshire, and Ruby Ann Price, and one brother, John Henry Scarberry.  She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, J.R. Cook, Stuart Cook, Brent Cook, Kris Rowe, Seth Rowe, Brandon Steigmann, and Tristan Rowe. She also has seven precious great grandchildren.

Lil was a member of the Cherryville Missionary Baptist Church for over 40 years. She loved to play softball and also played on several bowling leagues. She began Lil’s Pizza in 1982 and became a staple to the Cherryville community. She loved her family and especially he grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 28, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Cherryville Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Price and Rev. Chuck Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery Louisa, KY.

Friends may visit the family at any time after 6:00 pm on Friday at the church, and after 11:00 am until time of services on Saturday also at the church.

The family would like to thank Dr. Marc Workman and the Nursing Staff at Three Rivers Medical Center for their kind help.
