Barry Gene Runyon

1947 -- 2018

Barry Gene Runyon, 70, of Louisa, KY passed away August 2, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Runyon was born December 19, 1947 to the late Bradford and Theodora Runyon of Paintsville, KY formerly of Pikeville, KY. He was preceded in death by his infant grandson, Jace McNeil Rowland and brother, Brian Runyon.

Mr. Runyon is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kay McNeil Runyon, son David (Stephanie) Runyon, daughters, Julie (Jason) Rowland of Lawrenceburg, KY and Jamie Runyon Derifield of Lawrenceburg, KY, . He was Pops to to his beloved grandchildren, Taylor Shepherd and Hayden Derifield. He is also survived by two brothers, Brad and Burton Runyon, and a sister, Bradora Plummer.

Mr. Runyon was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisa, KY where he served as Deacon and previously as Treasurer and Sunday School Teacher. He was a retired Coal Operator in partnership with his brother, Brian.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 2:30 pm at First Baptist Church of Louisa with Pastor Chuck Price officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 6-9 pm at Wilson Funeral Home.

Betsy Fitchpatrick

1925 -- 2018

 

Betsy Fitchpatrick, 93, of Louisa, KY passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital.

Mrs. Fitchpatrick was born March 1, 1925 in Inez, KY to the late Harrison Muncy and Julie Damron Muncy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Fitchpatrick in 2009, one son, Harrison “Bud” Fitchpatrick, one daughter, Charolette Burke, and two grandsons, Johnny and Shawn Michael Fitchpatrick. 

She is survived by five sons, Jackie Fitchpatrick, Johnny (Belinda) Fitchpatrick, Richard (Leigh Ann) Fitchpatrick, Tommy (Carla) Fitchpatrick, James Fitchpatrick; four daughters Brettia (Rick) Hammond, Sylvia (Ralph) Fugett, Betty (Ova) Boggs, Jean (Phillip) Colm; and one sister, Laura Bowen.  She also leaves behind thirty-one grandchildren, forty-six great-grandchildren, and nineteen great-great-grandchildren.                                      

Mrs. Fitchpatrick was a homemaker and member of Richardson Chapel Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Harless officiating. Burial will follow in the Fitchpatrick Cemetery at Louisa.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, August 2 after 6:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home.

Robert 'Bob' Lyons 

1935 -- 2018

 

Bob Lyons, 82, of Louisa, KY passed away Friday July 27, 2018 following a truck accident.

Bob was born September 10, 1935 at Morrow, Ohio, the son of the late Albert and Erma Ratliff Lyons. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Rocky Maynard, a step daughter Ruth Ann Maynard, and a sister Nancy Hoffman.

Bob was a master diesel mechanic, heavy equipment operator, and logger. He loved his family and loved to work.

Survivors include his lifelong companion Brenda Kay Maynard; six daughters Bobbie Maynard of Louisa, Linda (Charles) Mullett of Louisa, Louella “Squeaky” (Chuckie) Maynard of Ulysses, Erma “Bear” (Blue) Conn of Martin, Virginia “Heavy” (Bucky) Burchett of Louisa, and Sabrina “Punkin” Maynard also of Louisa; a son Robert Mike (Misty) Lyons Jr. of Blaine; and a sister Louella Lyons of Morrow, Ohio; 14 grandchildren Charles Austin Mullett, Ricky Lee Carter, Michelle Litton, Dawn Lyons, Roger Lyons, Kevin Mullett, Alandria Smith, Jada Smith, Mikey Lyons, Savanna Burchett, Rocky Burchett, Shianna Lyons, Hope Lyons, and Trace Maynard Slone.

Funeral services will be held on Monday July 30, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery, Ash Branch Rd Louisa, KY.

Friends may visit the family on Sunday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.
