Easter Douglas 'Granny' Wellman

1932 -- 2018

 

Easter Douglas “Granny” Wellman, 85, of Ashland, KY passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital of Ashland, KY.

Ms. Wellman was born June 20, 1932 in Louisa, KY to the late John A. and Laura M. (Hanners) Vaughan. She was preceded in death by her husband, John David Wellman who passed away in April 1997.

She is survived by one daughter: Pamela (Harold) Bayes of Cattletsburg, KY, one son: John Douglas (Pat) Wellman of Louisa, KY, and four grandchildren, Jeremy (Crystal) Wellman of Winchester, KY, Joshua Wellman of Maysville, KY, Jason (Natalie) Wellman of Louisa, KY, and Laura Bayes of Cattletsburg, KY. She also leaves behind ten Great Grandchildren.

She was a retired cook for the Wayne Co. Board of Education, a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and a KY Colonel.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm on Thursday, March 29 at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Wellman Cemetery, Fort Gay.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, March 29 from 11am until the time of services at Wilson Funeral Home.

All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.

 

Martha Jo 'Joey' Caudill

1977 -- 2018

 

Martha Jo "Joey" Caudill, 40, of Louisa, KY was called home by God on Tuesday, March 27, 2018.

Miss Caudill was born August 19, 1977 in Louisa, KY to Harold Robert "Bob" and Betty (Fugett) Caudill.

In addition to her parents she is survived by two sisters: Connie (Lowell) Maynard of Louisa, KY and Debbie (Chad) Lyons of Louisa, KY, one brother: James (Carolyn) Caudill of Louisa, KY, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 5:30pm on Wednesday, March 28 at Caudill Cemetery, Louisa, KY with Lowell Maynard and Jess Canterbury officiating.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, March 28 from 3-5pm at Wilson Funeral Home.

All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.

 

Hilda Berniece Marcum Brown

1954 -- 2018

Hilda Berniece Marcum Brown, age 63, of Louisa, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Kings Daughters Medical Center. Mrs. Brown was born April 5, 1954 in Louisa, KY. She is the daughter of Imogene and the Late James Marcum. 

Mrs. Brown was a retired teacher with the Lawrence County school system, a member of the Louisa United Methodist Church and member of the Kentucky Teachers Association.

She is survived by her loving husband Donald Lee Brown and one daughter, Courtney Brown Menshouse and husband Cecil of Louisa.

In addition to her mother, her husband and daughter Hilda leaves behind two beautiful granddaughters; Chloe Faith and Cecilee Joy Menshouse.

 Also surviving Mrs. Brown are her sisters; Stella Smith, Patty Wilson, Sheila Hayes and Becky Lemaster; a brother Jimmy Marcum and several nieces, nephews and friends.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Louisa United Methodist Church at 1:00 with Rev Dan Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Yatesville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral home on Monday, March 26, 2018 after 6:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Louisa United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Wilson Funeral Home has been entrusted with final arrangements.
