Mary Frances Hayes

1924 - 2011

Mary Frances Hayes, 87, of Collins, Ohio died Wednesday June 22, 2011 at  Admiral Point Nursing Home in Huron, Ohio after an extended illness.

Ms. Hayes was born March 27, 1924 at Charley, Ky., a daughter of the late Willie and Erma Hinkle Hayes. She was employed by Van Dresser Corporation for 21 years.

Survivors include one sister, Bertha Hicks of Collins, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Willie Gene Hayes at 1:00 p.m. Saturday June 25, 2011 at Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Friday June 24, 2011 at Young Funeral Home, Louisa, Ky.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association.


Ruth Alene Dobbins Collins

1939 - 2011

Ruth Alene Dobbins Collins, 71, of Louisa, died Tuesday in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

She was born Oct. 4, 1939, in Louisa a daughter of Harper and Edith Alley Dobbins, both of whom are deceased. She was an accounts payable clerk for Wheeler-Clevenger Oil, Inc. for several years before her retirement. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution Louisa chapter and DAR ceremonies were conducted in her honor Thursday, June 23, 2011.
Survivors include one son, Lennie (Rhonda) Collins of Louisa, Ky.; two granddaughters, Kayla Meade and Kasey (Bronson) Blankenship.

The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday June 24, 2011 at Young Funeral Chapel in Louisa under the direction of Rev. Jimmy Bevins. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Louisa.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Harry L. Ruff Sr. 

1952 -2011


Harry L. Ruff Sr., 58, of Louisa passed away Sunday June 19, 2011 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Harry was born July 9, 1952 at Louisville, KY, the son of the late Frank C. and Agnita Isabelle French Ruff. He was a retired regional administrator with the Kentucky Division of Abandoned Mines.

Survivors include his wife Roberta Pack Ruff; a son Harry L. Ruff Jr. of Radcliff, KY, three step sons Joe Cantrell, David Boling, and Richard Boling all of Louisa; two sisters Janet Rose and Beverly Labore both of Illinois; a step sister Rosemary Wafford of Shepherdville, KY; two grandchildren, six step grandchildren, and four step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted by Revs Ronnie Childers and Rick Cordial on Thursday June 23rd at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Boling Cemetery at Louisa.
