While observing the car, Sheriff Kirk stated that he witnessed the car cross the white lines several times. Sheriff Kirk said the car then sped up and tried to escape. The driver of the vehicle tried to flee from Sheriff Kirk on KY Route 645 at speeds up to 65 mph.
