Routine business was dispatched quickly at Tuesday morning's Lawrence Co. Fiscal Court meeting with the naming of new members to various committees chief among the fiscal court's business.

 

Here's a brief wrap-up:


*  Approved minutes of the November 21st, 2017 Meeting

*  Approved 2nd Reading of Budget Amendment # 3

*  Approved Treasurers Request

*  Approved Bills

*  Accepted Treasurer’s Report

 

*  Appointed Member to the LC Bd. Of Adjustments -- John McNabb. Motion by John J. Lemaster, second by Rick Blackburn.

*  Approved the Lease Between LC Fiscal Court and No Limits Fitness LLC... Motion John J. Lemaster, second Rick Blackburn.

*  Approved Proclamation recognizing Jan. 21-27, 2018 Lawrence County School Choice Week. Motion Rick Blackburn, second Earl Boggs.

*  Authorized Clerk to Advertise for bids for Surplus Property

*  Judge/Exec. Osborne appointed and the court agreed on two members to LC Planning and Zoning Bd. -- Tom Parker and John Wellman. Motion by Rick Blackburn, second Earl Boggs.

*  Judge/Exec. John Osborne appointed  two members to LC Cemetery Bd.-- Jane Branham and John McNabb. Motion John J. Lemaster , second Morris Howard.

*  Judge/Exec. John Osborne appointed one member to the Fred M. Vinson Comm. Board. -- Lilly Vinson.  Motion Rick Blackburn, second Earl Boggs.

Public Comments - Osborne told the court of a request to reduce the speed limit on Deer Creek Rd. to 25 mph. The court unanimously agreed after motion by John J. Lemaster, second by Earl Boggs.
